Hard infrastructure gets built on baseless assumptions. Once those assumptions are in place, entire industries become frozen in time, completely unable to evolve.

Now, there is almost no medium for secondary creative expression. High quality ideas from people closest to how the space is used rarely make it off the whiteboard, because the path to implementation appears slow, expensive, or impossible.
